Mike Stewart, Of Counsel

Mike Stewart brings extensive public relations and public affairs consulting experience to
The Elliott Bay Group. With an emphasis on coalition building and grassroots mobilization,
Mike has successfully planned and managed strategic PR initiatives for clients in a broad
range of industries.

Currently, Mike directs strategy for the wireless communications industry, managing
initiatives designed to build public support for wireless infrastructure in communities
across the country. He has directed several initiatives to block passage of burdensome
local regulations intended to delay or stop the deployment of wireless infrastructure.

Mike recently planned and managed a successful grassroots campaign to prevent
new commercial air traffic at Seattle’s Boeing Field and effectively maintain a
competitive environment for all major commercial carriers at Sea-Tac International
Airport
. He designed a website and other communications materials for the Seattle
Indian Health Board and several of its key divisions, including the Family Medicine
Residency Program and the Healthy Heart Project. 

In previous capacities, Mike developed public and community relations strategies for
AT&T, AT&T Wireless, Cingular, Terabeam, Vulcan, Providence Medical Center, Sprint PCS
and Experience Music Project. He has served as an aide to a Washington member of
Congress, and as campaign manager for a successful mayoral candidate in Tacoma.

Mike is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Alki Foundation, the political
arm of the Greater Seattle Area Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the
Board of Trustees of Little Anchor Child Care Center. He resides in Seattle with
his wife and daughter.
